1. Who Can Submit a Claim?
• The Trust Assurance Guarantee applies to projects booked through TrustQuote, completed by our trusted contractors.
• The project must be valued at $5,000 or more.
• Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the project’s completion.
2. Before Filing a Claim
• Please notify us in writing within 10 days of discovering the problem, so the contractor has a chance to fix it.
• The contractor will have 14 days to address the issue. If the problem is unresolved, you may file a claim.
3. What You’ll Need to Submit
• A copy of the contract and invoice.
• Clear, dated photos of the problem, before and after any attempted fixes.
• Correspondence between you and the contractor (emails, call logs).
• Two independent assessments from licensed professionals detailing the issue and repair costs.
4. How to Submit Your Claim
• Send all required documents via certified mail to TrustQuote.
• All forms must be complete to avoid delays or denials.
• After submission, we’ll schedule a phone consultation to review your claim.
• An independent expert may inspect the issue, and this inspection must be scheduled within 10 days.
5. What’s Not Covered?
• Cosmetic concerns (like minor imperfections or color choices).
• Issues caused by material defects, acts of nature, or other unforeseen circumstances.
• Changes or additional work done by yourself or another contractor after the original project.
6. Reimbursement Limits
• The maximum reimbursement is $2,000.
• The guarantee only covers the cost of fixing the issue, not additional expenses like temporary housing or lost income.
7. Claims Decisions
• We carefully review each claim. However, incomplete or missing documentation may lead to a denial.
• All decisions are final.
8. Resolving Disputes
• We encourage arbitration before pursuing legal action.
• Arbitration will take place at a mutually convenient location, and each party is responsible for their own legal fees.
